Steven Holl Architects has been shortlisted as one of the five finalists for the Hsinchu County Art Museum in Taiwan. The project aims to bolster the network of cultural facilities in the country’s fastest growing region, known as Taiwan’s Silicon Valley.

Unlike the sprawl of individual suburban villas, our original concept of ‘dense pack villas’—designed to preserve the natural landscape—is now being realized at Riviera Kaplankaya.

Located in Upstate New York, the Hudson L-House serves as a live-work space for modern furniture gallerists—a midcentury collector’s paradise.

Architecture is a form of poetry written in space, light, and material. We seek a level of meaning that goes beyond function to reach the metaphysical aspect of design. Each site offers a poetic link to what a building can be.

The 1,300-seat concert hall for the city of Ostrava, Czech Republic, is the new home for the Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra, the leading Czech symphony orchestra.
