Steven Holl Architects Shortlisted for new National Centre for Contemporary Arts (NCCA) in Moscow

Steven Holl Architects has been shortlisted in the competition to design the museum and exhibition complex of the new National Centre for Contemporary Arts (NCCA) in Moscow. The NCCA, currently housed in a former factory, will be moved to Khoydynskoye Pole, a former airfield in Northeast Moscow. Steven Holl Architects is one of ten firms selected to participate in the competition, chosen from a total of 40 participants.

The new NCCA will have a construction budget of four billion roubles, and will serve as the infrastructure of collections and exhibitions; as a space for workshops, symposia, conferences and archives of contemporary art; and as a center of education.
