For Chamber Design Gallery’s newest exhibition, Unpacking the Cube, Steven Holl Architects presents concrete, aluminum, walnut, and 3D printed objets d’art. Developed as part of the studio’s architecture think tank/lab Explorations of In, the sculptures are the result of an investigation into “what is possible in inner space,” reconsidering architecture as an art and questioning its ongoing potential for shaping public space and social openness. Unpacking the Cube opens in Chelsea on Thursday, January 21st.
