Steven Holl joined Cherise Lakeside in an interview for ARCAT Detailed Podcast, discussing The REACH John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. A “living memorial” to President Kennedy, The REACH merges architecture and landscape, shaping open public spaces.
“Architecture has the potential more than any other field to make a public contribution. I’m very proud of several projects that we’ve done, and the Kennedy Center is one of the most important ones. If I had to start over again, I would definitely be an architect. It’s a difficult field, but it’s the fulfillment of making a public contribution, a public space that everyone can enjoy for hundreds of years.” – Steven Holl
