June 29, 2024, Steven Holl was honored with the IAI Asia Pacific Designers Federation Lifetime Achievement Award, accepted by Zhenya Li at the ceremony in Xiamen, China.
“From my beginnings in Bremerton, Washington, to studying in Rome and later in London at the Architecture Association, our first significant work was not realized until the Kiasma Museum in Helsinki in 1997 when I was 51 years old.
