Partner Roberto Bannura delivered a keynote lecture on the importance of public space formation and social engagement at Xiamen’s 14th Global Master Architects Forum. The event, presided by Xiamen’s Mayor Mr. Huang Yantian, commemorated the end of Xiamen’s Urban Design Week. Roberto’s lecture conveyed how the inclusion of public space in private developments allow architectural projects to blur the boundaries between a city’s public realm and project site, effectively becoming a strong contributor to city-making. Featured projects included iCarbonX HQ in Shenzhen, The REACH John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C., Sliced Porosity Block in Chengdu and the Cultural and Health Centers in Shanghai, among others.
