Flavio Romero, president of the Colombian Society of Architects commended the project’s use of public space and green areas and the way the buildings interacted with nature.
Steven Holl Architects Senior Partner Chris McVoy responded “we are flattered that our design is considered as one of the best in Colombia. We believe that a great university such as Universidad Nacional deserves a great project. That’s why we wanted to invent a new type of architecture related to the climate of Bogota, one that flows inside out; that is our key concept.”
