The Hybrid C Plan is a mixed-use development in Southern China.
Centered on the vast parkland to the west and a prominent train station to the east, the C Plan unites the site’s seven parcels and five building types into a coherent whole with a continuous spatial energy. Here working, living, shopping and cultural life are joined in an arc of new urban vitality. A pedestrian loop walkway—elevated on the east, at water’s edge on the west—connects cafes, restaurants, shops and theaters in a lively promenade. It also has a continuous rubber wheel tram moving at 9 mph, allowing pedestrians to jump on and off.
At the northeast corner a landmark office tower 80 meters high shapes an inner water garden ringed in cafes and retail space. Several theaters on the south shape public space.
