Sliced Porosity Block in Chengdu – 10 Year Anniversary

Steven Holl Architects celebrates the 10th-year anniversary of the Sliced Porosity Block in Chengdu, an urban complex where public space continues to be a vibrant contributor of Chengdu’s heterogenous public realm.

“10 years later, this epoch-making architecture still has a profound impact on people, whether they are architecture enthusiasts or ordinary citizens. Within 10 years, we have been proud to have such an amazing work in the downtown area in Chengdu, and we are very delighted to work and live in such a huge complex. Mr. Holl’s experience and his deep understanding of Sichuan culture such as Du Fu and the Three Gorges expresses ideas about the work at a higher level.” – Zhang Yuting, resident
